Upload Wait-Time Statistics
These instructions will help you export the Wait Time statistics you have captured in your Ignite Repository and send the data to Confio so our performance experts can analyze the data and provide a performance consultation.
1a. Upload a repository stored in a Oracle database
- Export the Ignite schema from the repository database using the
Oracle exp utility. Use "owner=ignite" if the repo was created
under that schema name.
exp userid=system/manager@repo_db file=Ignite_repo.dmp buffer=20000000 owner=Ignite grants=y
- Name your file using your name. i.e. Ignite-John-Smith.dmp
- Use a utility like WinZip for Windows or gzip on UNIX to compress the file. We recommend that you use WinZip encryption to password protect your zip file for the FTP transfer process.
1b. Upload a repository stored in a MS SQL Server database
- Backup the MS SQL database that holds the ignite repository (often 'ignite_repository') to a file called 'ignite_repository.bk'.
- Use a utility like WinZip for Windows to compress the backup file. We recommend that you use WinZip encryption to password protect your zip file for the FTP transfer process.
- Name your file using your name. i.e. Ignite-John-Smith.zip
2. To upload a file to Confio
| Upload your file(s) via FTP | |
| Upload your file(s) via HTML |
3. Send an email
Send an email to upload_notification@confio.com to notify Confio of the files presence on the FTP server and to provide the Winzip password with your file (if you password protected it using Winzip).
Once we have accessed the file, unzipped and loaded it into Ignite, we will arrange a teleconference to identify performance improvements
