Who is doing all this sharing?
Janis Griffin
Janis Griffin has over 20 years of DBA experience including design, development and implementation of critical database applications. Before coming to Confio, Janis held DBA positions primarily in the Telecom Industry (15 yrs), working with both real-time network routing databases and OLTP business to business applications.
Janis is the original earth mother. A passionate and accomplished equestrian, she and her family board and train horses on their property in Northern Colorado. She can swing an ax and she bakes a ridiculously yummy zucchini bread.

Dean Richards
Dean Richards has over 20 years of performance tuning, implementation, and strategic database architecting experience. Before coming to Confio, Dean was a technical director for Oracle Corporation, managing and performing consulting work at several key accounts. Dean has focused his entire career on performance tuning of Oracle and SQL Server environments.
Dean is a collegiate softball superstar and he crochets.
Thomas LaRock

Don Bergal
Don is the Chief Operating Officer at Confio. Don has over 15 years experience in the software, services and data communications industries, most recently with software developers Jabber, Inc. and Antepo, leading companies in the XMPP Instant Messaging market. Don earned a BS in Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Don plays tennis. (Ok, that is a gross understatement.) Don is obsessed with tennis and the players, scores, strategy, training, etc. He is always up for a match. And he loves cheese. Send him cheese for all occasions – the stinkier the better.
Matt Larson
Matt Larson is the Founder and CEO of Confio Software. Matt is an international speaker on topics related to database technology. He also is the co-author of five technology books. Matt graduated 1st in his class from the University of Colorado and is a card carrying member of the Mensa Society. Don’t ask Matt any question unless you have a few hours to kill.
Matt is an explorer of ideas. He likes to discuss a wide variety of topics – especially while cruising along at breakneck speed on afternoon bike rides. He doesn’t seem to notice cars, potholes, traffic lights, pedestrians, or other cyclists yet he glides past all obstacles as if in a protective bubble. We don’t know if we should give him more room to maneuver or stay as close as possible.
Nadine Pyter
Nadine is the Director of Marketing at Confio Software. Nadine brings over 15 years experience as a technology marketer. Prior to joining Confio Nadine held Sr. Product Marketing positions at Embarcadero Technologies and Autodesk. She also did seven years hard time in a marketing agency that catered exclusively to the IT industry. Nadine has a liberal arts degree from an odd little private college and we’ll leave it at that.
Most people know Nadine is an avid cyclist, trail runner, and yogi, but no one knows about her bug collection.
