Confio Software Announces UBS as New Customer

Global Financial Services Giant using Igniter Suite

December 1, 2008 – Boulder, CO - Confio Software, the leading performance solution for databases and the teams that manage them, has licensed Confio Igniter Suite™ for use in optimizing database performance within UBS Wealth Management.

Confio Ignite will be utilized to improve performance of critical business systems dependent on Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and Sybase databases within UBS operations. The decision to license came after successful completion of a trial where the Confio Ignite, using Performance Intelligence was, evaluated as a way to introduce best practice database performance methods across the organization.

Specific licensing terms were not disclosed. The Igniter Suite is licensed for use in monitoring and tuning Oracle, Microsoft, IBM and Sybase databases, identifying the most critical bottlenecks affecting enduser performance and identifying steps to quickly resolve them. Confio’s agentless operation allows monitoring of up to 200 databases from a single central data warehouse, without installation of any executable agent on the production server. As a result, monitoring is accomplished without additional load on the monitored server.
