Sander Set to Lead Infrastructure Optimization Company

June 9 , 2004 – Denver, CO - Former head of new product development for Seagate Technology Inc. (NYSE: STX) Charlie Sander has taken the helm at Confio Software, (www.confio.com) one of the technology industry’s most promising new companies. Sander led a group of private investors to fund the infrastructure optimization and productivity software company, and began serving as Chairman and CEO in May.

Sander is a computer industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in product development, business management, and building customer relationships. Prior to joining Confio as an investor and CEO, he spent 15 years with Conner Peripherals/Seagate Technology. At Conner he was Senior Vice President and GM of the Personal Storage Group. After a successful merger with Seagate in 1996, he became SVP of New Product Development heading up Seagate’s design centers in Colorado, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Singapore. Prior to his career at Seagate, he held engineering and management positions with StorageTek and Miniscribe Corp. Charlie has a BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin.
